The Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) joins the World Kidney Day and International Women’s Day Celebration with the theme: “Kidneys and Women’s Health, Include, Value, Empower” on March 10, 2018 at BRTTH Grounds, Legazpi City. The activity aims to continuously advocate and raise public awareness to intensify the importance of women’s health, focusing on maintaining a healthy kidney.
The BRTTH supports its objectives by promoting affordable and equitable access to health education, healthcare and prevention for kidney diseases for all women and the public. As an advocate of health the BRTTH with the support of different Government and Private agencies gives emphasis on this program through a Fun Walk Parade started from Bicol University grounds to BRTTH Park followed by a short program. In commemorating the World Kidney Day, a ceremonial toast and drinking of water was initiated by the BRTTH Executive Committee headed by Dr. Rogelio G. Rivera-Medical Center Chief. The program was followed by the most awaited Zumba Dance Exercises led by Zin Dave Secretario of Department of Health RO V encouraging the public specifically the women to practice a healthy kidney through a healthy lifestyle.
As one of the highlights of the activity, a formation of Human 100 years Logo was also conducted as part of the activities in the 100 days countdown for the preparation of the BRTTH 100th year celebration. Boundless of time, still the BRTTH elevates its anticipation towards a stronger institution delivering exceptional care with compassion.
