Asec. Santiago, PCC Delegates visit BRTTH-Bicol Cancer Center
Department of Health Assistant Secretary Nestor F. Santiago, Jr. and representatives of the Philippine Cancer Center (PCC) came to Legazpi City on Nov. 18-19, 2021 to attend the Finalization Workshop on the Five-Year Hospital Development Plan of the Philippine Cancer Center at the Marison Hotel, in Gogon. A highlight of the workshop was a tour of the upgraded building of the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital -Bicol Cancer Center (BRTTH-BCC).
The two-day event, which was hosted by the BRTTH Executive Committee (ExeCom) and BRTTH-BCC in cooperation with the Professional Education, Training, and Research Office (BRTTH-PETRO) involved an intensive workshop on the first day followed by a lighter facility and city tour the next day. The event served as a venue for the PCC delegates and BRTTH representatives to iron out plans for the further development of the Cancer Center. BCC Head, Dr. Renee Myla A. Balang was also given the opportunity to deliver the annual report of the center along with its accomplishments, while Asec. Santiago expressed his appreciation and support of the BRTTH endeavors to improve the services of our cancer center.
