The Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) has embodied up to par history of public health service. From a 10-bed US army station hospital in 1918, BRTTH has progressed as the Department of Health-retained tertiary hospital based in Legazpi City. The institution gradually expanded its capacity, complexity and healthcare services, all for the mandate of serving the Bicolano people.

In support for the COVID-19 vaccination activity of the Department of Health (DOH), Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) rolled out its Sinovac second dose vaccination to its 944 healthcare workers on April 2-7, 2021.

Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) on May 27 signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to address the surge of COVID-19 cases in Bicol Region in coordination with Office of Civil Defense (OCD).
