Ground-breaking Ceremony

May 29, 2018—BRTTH finally came to the 100th day of its three-month long centennial celebration that started with a kick-off activity last February 19, 2018. The second part of its whole day-program highlighted two symbolic activities, particularly Asst. Secretary Nestor Santiago and Administrative Building to the unveiling of the commemorative marker and the ground-breaking ceremony for the 600-Bed Capacity Building.

MANITO, Albay— The BRTTH Pediatrics Department, Nutrition and Dietetics Service, and Public Health Unit combined their efforts to carry-out the third component of the Philippine Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (PIMAM) for patients with Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM). Last May 18, 2018, a Community Mobilization and Kilatis Kutis Consultation was conducted at Manito, Albay, wherein the 2nd highest prevalent case of malnourished children below 5 years old in Albay province were noted.

In celebration of Hypertension Awareness Month and commemoration of the centennial year of the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH), a Simultaneous Hospital-wide Blood Pressure Screening was conducted last May 17, 2018.

MAY 9-12, 2018—Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital joins the 1st Magayon Health and Wellness Expo at Ayala Malls, Legazpi City. The BRTTH team provided free Random Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure Screening to a total of 650 clients. The booth also publicized BRTTH services through distribution of pamphlets and IEC Materials.
